John & Michael Neal Foundation for Cancer Research
The Neal Foundation was created in memory of John and Michael Neal, a father and son who each lost a battle with leukemia too young. Michael died in 1972 of acute lymphocytic leukemia - one week before his fourth birthday. His father, John, died of an aggressive form of chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 2005 at the age of 64.
Their courage and love of life have prompted family and friends to establish this memorial. John was very active in his community and state, always striving to leave the world a better place than it was when he came into it. He lived the "pass it on" motto. In an effort to continue that tradition, we wish to provide funding for cancer research to help find cures, treatments and vaccinations to prevent more suffering and early deaths from this disease.
